How the Mazda Foundation Gives Back

The Hall Mazda Virginia Beach team is proud to be a part of the Mazda family. Mazda doesn’t just craft some of the best vehicles in the world; the brand is also committed to making the world a better place through initiatives, partnerships, sustainability, and charity. We want to highlight some of the amazing things Mazda does to improve our community, country, and global society through the Mazda Foundation.
College Track
The College Track program aims to help students overcome the barriers to a bachelor’s degree. The program makes a 10-year commitment to each student, starting in ninth grade, supporting students with comprehensive academic, financial, and social-emotional programming to empower students to succeed.
Bracken’s Kitchen
In Garden Grove, CA, Bracken’s Kitchen rescues, repurposes, and restores food and lives. With food rescue, culinary training, and community feeding, the Bracken’s Kitchen Culinary Training Program provides at-risk young adults with culinary careers with hands-on training and experience.
AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination)
The Mazda Foundation partners with this nonprofit organization to help schools create a more student-centric approach. Together, they prepare students for college and train educators to improve schools across the country. By working with over 7,500 schools, AVID revives a love for learning in more than 2 million students each year.
Vehicles For Change
As an automotive manufacturer, Mazda is in a unique position to empower families through car ownership. Vehicles for Change receives funding from the Mazda Foundation to power VFC’s Full Circle Auto Repair and Training program to train individuals for a career in automotive repair.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County
With funding from the Mazda Foundation, Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County collects and distributes food to more than 400 local charities to combat hunger and malnutrition. Mazda employees in the area also volunteer their time with Second Harvest, as a way to give back.
Mazda isn’t the only one taking care of the community. The Hall Mazda Virginia Beach team loves to partner with local charities and events to support our clients, friends, and neighbors.
