2017 Mazda CX-5 Aims to Please Driver and Passengers

New model thrills with improved comfort, Active Driving technologies, and more

Mazda describes the new 2017 Mazda CX-5 in two words: “Refined Toughness.” The goal was to break through the traditional trade-off between driving pleasure and passenger comfort. The result is a bold new exterior and an interior that’s designed with everyone in mind. It’s the beginning of a movement from Mazda to create driver-centric vehicles that operate in harmony with human sensibilities.

Intelligently designed comfort and convenience inside and out

Inside, the new Mazda CX-5 has a quieter cabin which translates to a more comfortable driving experience for all occupants. The cockpit provides an optimal driving position with all the controls laid out for the driver to use easily and naturally. The driver’s field of vision is improved over previous models due to the lower beltline and single pane of glass for the rear window.

The new Mazda CX-5 is the first Mazda model to adopt a two-step reclining rear seat for improved comfort and usability. Available rear seat heaters and new air conditioning vents mounted on the rear of the floor console add even more comfort. Refinements to the powertrain and handling, ride, and comfort all contribute to a pleasant ride for everyone on board.

Advanced technology for a smarter driving feature

As for advanced tech features, the Multi-Information Display has a new high-resolution 4.6-inch liquid crystal display and an Active Driving Display that projects information from the navigation system on the windshield. Mazda Connect™ is your advanced car connectivity system that works with smartphones and other mobile devices, making it easier to connect to the internet, access social networking services, and utilize other communication functions safely and conveniently.

To round out the technology, the Mazda CX-5 features a 10-speaker Bose® premium sound system co-developed by Mazda that includes Bose’s own AudioPilotTM2 ambient noise compensation and Centerpoint®2 surround sound system.

New safety features include the latest evolution of Mazda Radar Cruise Control, which can follow the vehicle ahead from a standing stop; and Traffic Sign Recognition, which reads speed limit and other road signs and displays the message on the Active Driving Display*.

The 2017 Mazda CX-5 offers a pleasant experience for driver and passengers alike, marking an exciting new direction for Mazda.  Learn more about this upcoming model at Hall Mazda Virginia Beach today.
